Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Provider Course
ACLS - PROVIDER COURSE
ACLS is a 2 day workshop that teaches medical personnel advanced resuscitation techniques. This workshop includes:
- Advance Airway Management techniques like laryngeal mask airway, Combitube, Endotracheal tube.
- Use of Emergancy Drugs.
- Use of Defibrillator & Transcutaneous pacing
- ECG Recognition & Managing stable Vs unstable rhythms.
- How to take Intraosseous line
- Identification of cardiac rhythms & their manage-ment.
- Audiovisual demos.
- Managing Strokes, Arrhythmias & Medical Emer-gencies.
- Skill Stations and Megacode.
- Real Life Scenario based Teaching.
It is mandatory to have BLS certification to enroll for ACLS course as it entails knowing advanced skills for managing patients who have been initially stabilized post initial attempts of resuscitation via BLS teaching. At the end of course candidates are evaluated on basis of multiple choice questions and skill stations and if the candidate demonstrates desired skill level they are given ACLS certificate from American Heart Association.
All medical personnel, paramedics, nurses and interested persons who have completed BCLS course can enroll for ACLS course.
